5 Minute or Less Breakfasts For Busy Entrepreneurs
In the effort to make your morning just the smallest bit easier, here are some delicious breakfasts that take less time to prepare than your coffee.
1. The Ultimate 1 Minute Breakfast - Fresh Fruit Parfait
It might sound obvious, but fresh fruit makes a phenomenal breakfast, and parfaits are a staple money-maker in coffee shops. When you have kids, or adults addicted to sugary cereal, this will be a saving grace! Making your fruit into a parfait can make it more filling and more fun, and it takes less than a minute to make fruit into a complete breakfast!
We just combine a half cup of vanilla or plain yogurt with a cup of berries and a handful of granola for the perfect sweet and quick breakfast. It's a true 1 minute breakfast, just into a bowl or cup and eat away! The longest step is rinsing the fresh berries!
2. Oatmeal & Hot Chocolate
A classic breakfast, oatmeal is a frequent visitor in many homes, but it doesn't always stick around because it can get boring. Here are our favorite flavor combinations to spice it up, and how we make a killer oatmeal breakfast in 2 minutes!
We like to use quick or instant oats, but feel free to make these combinations with any other kind. Making hot chocolate with your extra hot water doubles the warmth and sweetness of this fall and winter favorite!
First heat enough water for instant oatmeal plus a cup of hot coca in a kettle or in the microwave. While the water heats, you can prep any oatmeal toppings so all you need to do is add water to the bowl and cup and breakfast is ready!

3. Breakfast Smoothies
The smoothie trend has exploded in the past few years, prompting people to switch out their cereal for a smoothie whether its protein, green, or otherwise. Here are our favorite breakfast smoothies that will satisfy even the pickiest eaters. They're one of the quickest breakfasts as you just throw in the ingredients & blend!
Chocolate Breakfast Protein Smoothie
1 Cup Almond Milk
1 Scoop Chocolate Flavored Protein Powder
(we use Trader Joe's Whey Protein Powder)
1/2 Cup Ice
Green Fruit Smoothie
1/2 Cup Spinach or Kale
1/2 Cup Frozen or Fresh Berries
(we like to freeze blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries to make the smoothie colder)
1 Cup Orange Juice
Bonus Tip - For those who hate regular green smoothies the secret is to use this recipe with spinach. It's creamier than kale and even picky eaters can't tell it’s there because the orange juice and banana flavors are much stronger!
Apple Pie Smoothie
1 Apple, Cored and Sliced
1/2 Cup Vanilla or Plain Yogurt
1/2 Cup Milk or Almond Milk
1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
Pinch of Cinnamon
4. Peanut Butter & Banana Toast
The key to making this classic combo unbelievably delicious is to add honey and a sprinkle of cinnamon. If you have to take it on the go, simply put another piece of bread of top and make it a sandwich!
Start by toasting a piece of bread and spreading peanut butter on top. Then add banana slices, drizzle honey across the top, and finish with a sprinkle of cinnamon. It's guaranteed to not only fill you up, but be one of the sweetest meals you've ever had.
Bonus Tip - Switch out the peanut butter for chocolate hazelnut spread for an extra special treat, or try almond butter for a healthier option. This breakfast can go either way!
5. 5-Minute Breakfast Burrito
After a lot of trial and error, we found the easiest way to whip one up in less than 5 minutes!
Start to scramble 2 eggs in a medium pan, throw in 1-2 slices of cheese, and 2 pieces of deli meat, then throw them in a tortilla with salsa. It’s a 1-pan wonder even if you need to double or triple the number of burritos you're making, and it's always delicious. You can add in some pre-diced veggies to make it even better.
It's about as simple as they come, but it's a fan-favorite for its easy preparation and heartiness. Never underestimate the power of a good breakfast burrito.
