8 Quick Ways To Spice Up Your Office Coffee This Fall
Fall coffee flavors are by far THE BEST thing about fall, but who has the time, or money to head to Starbucks everyday for Pumpkin Spice this and Hazelnut that. Instead, we prefer these 8 quick tricks for spicing up the office coffee we already have. Our favorite method of making coffee is the French Press so we can grind the beans fresh, and brew it just the way we like. Then, we add in one (or two... or three...) of these fall flavors:
Add a sprinkle of cinnamon on your coffee grounds for EPIC flavor this fall. You can also add milk and a sweetener like honey, sugar, or maple syrup to your coffee and then garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon. We recommend AMPLE whipped cream!
Fresh-ground or pre-grated it makes any cup of coffee taste like a true hug in a mug. Add it to the top of your maple syrup sweetened coffee with a dash of milk and prepare to enter into complete caffeinated bliss!
3. Maple Syrup
We love maple syrup as an alternative to normal sugar for sweetening our coffee, and it's especially perfect for fall. Using a high quality, real maple syrup will infuse your cup with all the comfy flavors of fall that we all love. It's even better if you add a splash of milk (or a nondairy substitute). It's also a great combo for adding to iced coffee.
Try a drop of vanilla extract (just one - that stuff is STRONG) in your coffee to sweeten and flavor it to fall perfection.
5. Homemade Pumpkin Spice Creamer
Making your own Pumpkin Spice Creamer is delicious and let's face it - so much better than the flavors you get at Starbucks. It's better than a syrup, and has REAL pumpkin puree in it. We found our favorite recipe here.
6. Hazelnut (Nutella, Baby!)
Make hazelnut flavors easily by just adding a heaping spoonful of Nutella into your cup. Hazelnut is one of our all time favorite fall flavors - and this trick takes less than 5 seconds, so it's perfect for busy days when you don't have time to fuss over your coffee. No extra sugar or dairy needed in your cup with this one!
Another quick and delicious way to infuse sweet fall into your mug is dropping in a piece of chocolate and stirring it up as it melts! Plain dark chocolate is delicious but you could also go for a flavored bite like sea salt caramel chocolate for extra fall goodness.
8. Happy Hour - Peppermint, Hazelnut, & Chocolate liqueur!
Add any or all 3 of these delicious liqueurs for a delicious seasonal drink. Coffee drinks add just the right amount of warm and coziness to your fall happy hours!
