How To Get Re-Inspired & Motivated
Sometimes we just need a boost to stay on track. Here are 7 ways to get and keep you motivated to work on your business and personal goals.
Set New Goals
Maybe you’ve accomplished some of your original goals, or maybe it’s time to reframe them or make new ones. Take a few minutes to look at your goals and decide if they still work for you. One way to keep goals fresh is to make them seasonal and break them into a few categories such as marketing, social media, web design, blogging, and workspace.
Make a list of things you need to get working on and tackle them in small bites to keep the momentum going. If your goal is to clean up your desktop, even moving a few files can get you started. Use a timer and work on a task for a set number of minutes. You’ll see that sometimes things you procrastinate take only a short amount of time to accomplish.
Celebrate Your Successes
Put a spot in your calendar every week to celebrate your successes. You may just want to glow from the achievement or get yourself a tangible reward, such as an office mug or a great coffee drink.
Put Affirmations Where You Can See Them
Affirmations can keep your mind positive. Make a stack on 3x5 cards and post them in various locations where you’ll see them during the day. After a while, you may get tired of seeing one. That’s why it’s good to change them up. Rotate affirmations and put them in different locations.
Engage Your Friends
Sometimes peer pressure provides the best motivation for individual or shared goals. Take advantage of the mobile apps to keep it fun such as Make Me or ChallengedApp or simply text your challenge to a friend.
Take Part in Inspirational Activities
Sometimes you have to look outside yourself to get motivation. Take a break and watch a TED talk or listen to an inspirational podcast
Get a Good Night’s Sleep
Never underestimate the power of a good night’s sleep to keep you motivated. After a good night’s rest, tasks seem easier and it’s easier to focus in general.
